Description

Backed by one of the oldest marketing research companies still in business, is the Ipsos I-Say Panel worth joining, or should you avoid it?

Ipsos I-Say Panel Review

About Ipsos I-Say Panel

Founded in 1975, Ipsos is a well-respected research company with over 15,000 employees across the globe. When they introduced the Ipsos I-Say Panel, the firm quickly established itself as one of the largest online marketing research companies in the world.

It’s also incredibly easy to become a member – as testified by the fact it has over 3 million active users from all over the world.

But does its size and accessibility make the Ipsos I-Say Panel a paid surveys platform worth joining… or is it a very successful scam to avoid?

How Does Ipsos I-Say Panel Work?

Ipsos attracts clients from various industries and sectors, all of them needing marketing research performed to gauge target market opinion on their products and services. The company has assisted such organizations since 1975, but the Ipsos I-Say Panel makes it even easier to do so.

All you need to do is register on the website, participate in surveys and offers, and get paid. Additionally, you can choose to take part in polls, or even create your own. The data Ipsos gathers through this process forms the market research.

It’s not an unfamiliar concept – after all, every other (legitimate) surveys platform does the same thing.

Sign Up for Ipsos I-Say Panel

As long as you’re 18 years or older, chances are you’ll have success signing up as an Ipsos I-Say Panel member. All you need to do to initiate the process is visit their website and enter your email address.

That said, just being a legal adult isn’t enough to be granted access to the actual panel. You do need to be a citizen or (at the very least) permanent resident of one of the following nations:

  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Denmark
  • Egypt
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Turkey
  • The UAE
  • The UK
  • The US

The registration process also includes a short profile survey to help Ipsos gauge your demographic group. Using this information, the company sends you invitations to participate in surveys via email.

Get Ipsos I-Say Panel Rewards

Surveys are, of course, the most obvious way to earn rewards on the Ipsos I-Say Panel. In addition to the surveys Ipsos actively invites you to participate in, you can also peruse the options on display in your user account dashboard.

Most of these surveys are fairly short and pay between 45 and 90 points on average. If you don’t qualify for one (there are always qualifying questionnaires), Ipsos will grant you 5 points.

To be honest, surveys are the only way to guarantee rewards. The polls don’t give you points, though if you accurately predict the number of “yes” answers a particular poll will receive, Ipsos will give you entries into their sweepstakes.

For that matter, in lieu of a traditional sign-up bonus, you’ll also get entered into one of these sweepstakes.

Once every quarter, 30 winners are announced and awarded $100. We wouldn’t bet on it though – remember, the Ipsos I-Say Panel has over 3 million active users.

However, they do have a very innovative loyalty program. According to the Ipsos I-Say website, this takes place once a year (usually over the December holidays) for a whole month. Depending on how many surveys you complete in this time, you’ll receive bonus points.

Granted, it’s not much – 25 points for 5 surveys, up to 600 points for 200 surveys – but if you’re qualifying for a lot of surveys, it can be a welcome boost to your earnings.

How Much Money Can I Make With Ipsos I-Say Panel?

As you’ll have noticed, the Ipsos I-Say Panel uses a point-based system. We’re not a fan of the model, but for the most part, Ipsos’s is very straightforward. 1 point = $0.01 – so all you have to do is divide your number of earned points by 100.

We mentioned earlier that the surveys (which are the only guaranteed way of earning on the Ipsos I-Say Panel) typically pay between 45 and 90 points each.

Depending on how many surveys you qualify for, you can expect to redeem a $5 gift card once a month, or a $10 PayPal payout every 2 months. If you’re in a demographic group that isn’t typically targeted by Ipsos’s clients, it’ll take longer to reach that goal.

Is Ipsos I-Say Panel a Scam?

While we’re not a fan of the points system in general, there’s no funny math with the Ipsos I-Say panel. You always know exactly how much you’re earning.

The company is also very time-conscious when it comes to redeeming points. Gift cards are always delivered immediately to your email, while PayPal payments can take between 1-3 weeks to process. If you can save up 2,000 points for an Ipsos I-Say prepaid visa card, you’ll have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for it to arrive in the mail.

All told, the company seems 100% legitimate.

Why I Like Ipsos I-Say Panel

When the only option you have for earning money on a platform is to take surveys, you can bet they do their best to make sure users qualify for as many surveys as possible. Otherwise, it’s simply not worth your time. That’s why Ipsos puts in so much effort to notify you of the surveys they’re most confident you’ll qualify for.

The fact their points system is honest and really does pay (and on time, every time) is also a welcome sign.

Ipsos I-Say Panel: Conclusion

Although not the best, the Ipsos I-Say Panel definitely makes it into our top 10 list of legitimate online paid surveys platforms available today. To be sure, you’re not going to break the bank as a member, even if you somehow manage to win their sweepstakes all 4 times there’s a draw.

But you’ll definitely get paid.

Pros

  • Focuses entirely on surveys
  • International scope
  • Founded by a respected company
  • Different options for payment redemption
  • Always pays on time
  • Clean interface
  • Loyalty program
  • Stellar technical support

Cons

  • Limited international scope
  • Surveys don’t pay that much
  • 10-day wait for PayPal payments

We never recommend sticking to only one survey panel. That’s especially true if you sign up as an Ipsos I-Say Panel user. Boost your earnings by joining a few other (legitimate) sites as well.
